    Description

    1650-1770 Trade Beads
These Rootbeer to Reddish beads were actually made for us in the early 1980's. Made to represent beads from the book  Beads and Their Use by Upper Great lakes Indians. An early lozenge shape bead from the Rock Island Wisconsin site dated 1650 - 1770. Thought they were all sold many years ago but have discovered some in our warehouse. They have been treated to very closely represent the beads found at that site. Great for any museum collection, teaching aids, or historical re-enactors. There are 25 beads per strand. Some minor chipping & such due to the crude manufacturing technique at that time and also in treating them to further make them look well used.
