    Description

Presented is an antique, English sterling silver stuffing or large serving spoon made by Richard Crossley of London in 1793. The handle of the spoon is beautifully engraved with bright cut flowers and designs. There is an un-engraved cartouche at the tip of the handle.
The back of the handle is marked with the crowned leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of King George III’s head, a date letter S for the year 1793 and a maker’s mark for Richard Crossley.
This piece is in fabulous condition for its age. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms and no repairs.
The spoon measures 12 1/4 inches long and weighs 111 grams or 3.9 ounces.
