    Description

Presented is a fine old English Georgian sterling silver goblet style cup. This piece dates to 1805. The cup portion of the goblet is done in an interesting straight-sided style. The goblet has finely hand engraved bands of decoration around the top and bottom of the cup portion, as well as around the top of the base. The foot rim is elegantly gadrooned. The cup has a presentation reading 'EAF from TBH Christmas 1883.'
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no leaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is hallmarked on the side with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter k for 1805, and King George III's head duty mark. The maker's mark is unfortunately too worn to read.
The goblet stands about 6 inches tall.
The cup weighs 306 grams or 10.8 regular ounces.
