1850's Black Glass 3 Piece Mold Ale - Deacon Scotland Yard

Description

This is a black glass ale bottle that measures 7 1/2" and the base is 3" wide, with an applied double ring collar.  It is a three piece mold and has remnants of the foil neck label.  The base is embossed - Deacon (I believe) // Scotland // Year with a dot in the middle of the base.
This was dug in a brick liner 25 ft. down in the
North
Side of Pittsburgh.  Two of these were found and all the other bottles were pontiled.
