This is a real crude early 3 pc mold blown demijohn bottle from the 1850s or 60s...no embossing....Hand blown in 3 piece mold, bimal.....rough jagged pontil scar on bottom.....crude applied tapered collar......beautiful medium olive green color......14 1/2"tall x 5 3/4"round......Sparkling nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle. Crude natural swirls in the glass. This is a great looking early pontiled Civil War era demijohn bottle that may have had a wicker covering originally. These big demijohn bottles were used for storing liquids such as wine, whiskey, vinegar, water, etc
