1876 PA HK-20 Centennial Expo Silver So Called (SC) (Dollar)For your Collection is a very nice and
hard to find in this condition
1876 HK-20 Centennial Exposition Silver Medal, So Called .
The United States Congress Authorized the striking of the Medal to Commemorate the Hundredth Anniversary of America Independence.
The 1876 Centennial Exposition was held in Philadelphia and this Official Medal was designed by William Barber and struck at the U.S. Mint.
According to the
Hibler-Kappen book on So Called Dollars they noted
that
10,133
of the
Official Medals were made in silver
.
This is a
rare Medal due to the low number struck
.
These rare Medals continue to appreciate in value as collectors very rarely sell them.
Please use the pictures to determine the grade/condition of this piece.
The last two pictures show an MS63 and MS65 for reference (these are reference photos only and are not part of this listing).
I did my best to get some close up shots so you can view the condition of this coin which I believe looks much better than the MS63 and slightly better than the MS65.
This 1876 Centennial Exposition Medal would be a great addition to any Coin Collection, Historic Collection or Silver Collection.
Thank you.
