    Description

    1940's era Earl Parker facsimile of the famous 1855 Kellogg & Co. Gold "Slug".  Superb Gem Uncirculated, certified NGC MS-66.  Pop Top, tied with one other example of J-740 in the grade.  There is a slightly different variety,
    J-740G (Gilt),
    with one each MS-66 and MS-67 known.  Comparables are always difficult for finest knowns or Pop Tops that trade infrequently, however the sole other MS-66 J-740 sold in August 2017 for 0 at Heritage.  The sole Gilt (J-740G) example in MS-66 sold last year for something less, but I think it went cheap.  Lesser certified examples commonly trade in the 0's, so I am confident that at the listed Asking Price, I am solidly in the ballpark of reason.
