hallmarked ( J B C ) Jug, on its base it is also hallmarked,
Carrington & co. London 130 Regent St.
JBC into a quatrefoil
Carrington & Co -John Bodman Carrington-,
A business founded by John Carrington (1873-1880).
The firm became Carrington & Co (1880-1922) and Carrington &
Co Ltd from 1922.The firm was active at 130 Regent Street,
London where it acted also as London Showroom of G.R. Collis
& Co, manufacturing silversmiths and electroplaters of Birmingham
Condition
it has some tarnish and its hallmarks are partly faded, but is
lovely
and in an excellent overall condition, with no dents or damage.
Measurements
from its spouts tip to its handles tip, 12.6 cm.
Height 10 cm. to its handles top. Diameter 9.2 cm. Weight 210 grams.
