Original Mexican 19th century retablo - oil on tin - depicting San Jose holding the Santo Nino de Jesus. Beautifully painted, in its original oak frame. Outside wooden frame dimensions: 16-3/8 inches high x 12-3/4 inches wide. Condition (please see photos): normal frame wear for its age (frame back wooden panel has been reinforced with framing staples); some dings and scratches to painting surface; some discoloration/wear to lower right corner. Provenance: purchased from Milagros Folk Art Gallery in Seattle, in 2008 (acquired from a private collection).
