Alebrijes are Mexico's fantastic, imaginative figures - they are often called "creatures of the dreams and the imagination".  They are hand-carved and hand-painted  of copal wood in Central Mexico where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces. This is a great tiger - a beautiful carving with lively  painting .  The animal is orange with white dotwork , orange flowers and colorful decoration.  .   This colorful tiger is approximately 6 1/2" long with removable tail and 3 1/2" tall. This tiger would be a fabulous addition to any collection.
