    Herringbone is a type of chevron weave traditionally made from wool. The name derives from the similarities between the appearance of the weave ad the skeleton of a herringfish. The design is made by reversing the direction of the trill weave at regular intervals to create the diagonal lines in reverse directions. Although traditionally used in suiting, herringbone fabric can be a stylish solution for soft furnishings and upholstery in any household.
