I recently acquired a number of parts that came with a 1969 Z28 that was purchased out of an estate. The car had been stored since the late 70s/early 80's and had a bunch of NOS parts stored with it that were meant for the build. The guy who bought the Camaro out of the estate was putting a LS engine in the car and was not concerned with originality. I bought the engine, transmission, and other parts from him and plan to list them here on Ebay. This is an set of 8 original GM forged pistons and "pink" connecting rods for large journal Chevy 302 engines. The large journal Chevy 302 engine was only used in 68 and 69 Camaros with the Z/28 option. Each piston is a factory standard bore TRW unit with the GM part number 3927172 forged into the underside of each piston. The rods are the factory heavy duty units that were originally marked with pink paint to show that they has been shot peened and magnafluxed. This parts are real deal original with no modifications.
These rods and pistons are in good original condition as shown. These came to me along with the other 69 Z/28 parts described above. The block itself was a 69 model but not a DZ 302 so I parted the engine out. The pistons are all quite nice with no pitting and no damage to the tops. The skirts have been professionally gnurled to bring them back to a tight spec. The rings are new and have never been ran. The rods are real deal factory "pink rods"(most of the pink has faded away). They have been professionally balanced as shown. These are awesome factory high performance parts.
