    Rare Early Antique Deerskin Small Child's Native American Vest

    ESCRIPTION:
    Scans show it all, front & back.....made of beautiful deerskin. Made for a child. Measures about 12" high x 10" side to side. Hand laced up each side where the pieces come together and at the shoulder to form the arm hole, as shown. Has one tie to close it in the front, but otherwise front is open. Lots of fringe as shown along the laced edges.
    This is in excellent condition and the deerskin is very pliable. Would make a great gift or a nice display item for the discerning collector. Could be worn or would look great on display or framed.
    This could have been used by a young native American. Could also have been made to sell as a souvenir to tourists. IN EITHER CASE IT IS FAIRLY OLD, AND MADE BY AN ACTUAL NATIVE AMERICAN TRIBESMAN. Has a great look to it, especially considering its small size for a young child, possibly aged about 7 to 9 years old.
    THIS IS A VERY UNUSUAL ITEM, AND YOU WILL NOT SEE SOMETHING LIKE IT FOR SALE OFTEN. I also have a matching pair of antique deerskin moccsains that came with it, also listed on ebay.
