  • Condition: Excellent condition! Eye-catching, stunning, shiny copper and brass! No dents or gouges in the brass or copper. It has all been machine polished. No chips or cracks in the glass - some very small areas of loss to the hand painted design and light / small marks here or there. The hanging / ceiling mechanism is working well. It goes up and down easily, however it comes down "too easily" so that we have tacked it in place with two large safety pins. You can adjust it to the height you want and then tack it as we did, or you can have the mechanism adjusted/repaired so that it does not come down with just the weight of the lamp.     Lovely antique hanging oil lamp
    Beautiful copper and brass
    So eye-catching!!
    This has been restored to its original beauty
    The burner is marked P&A, which is the Plume & Atwood company of Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
    The patent date on the ceiling mechanism is 1892

    Most of the hanging lamp is gorgeous, shiny copper with lovely ornate details
    The burner, collar and cap holder on the font are brass (the cap itself is copper), and the smoke bell is brass
    Hand painted glass shade with gorgeous flowers and leaves in bright colors on a golden / yellow background
    The frosted and clear glass font has the "Lomax" edge in order to catch any oil that accidentally didn't make it in the font when pouring - so convenient!
    Approximate measurements:
