    Description

    This is for a single shaped - hanging candle / tea light / push on light holder. Items like these are usually from Turkey, Persia, Morocco, but they are also referred to as Oajar, Islamic, and Mosque lamps.  What is clear is they are Middle Eastern metalwork.
    This beautiful piece would have been hand crafted in the late 1890's to early 1900's.
    This one measures 14 inches tall with a 7.0 inch. chain making the total height with this and the hook 21.0 inches tall.
    It measures approx. 9 inches in diameter.
    It has a pulley system that allows the top piece to open up away from the bottom piece to place the candle or light in the base. When a light is added you get wonderful shadows on a wall if close, candles also can work for this, or new push on lights in colors.  Please see picture where I show one used! The lights or candles are very easy to get in and out of the piece.
    Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona.  I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.
